I work in Toronto at the corner of Duncan and Adelaide. I work on the second floor corner facing down Duncan and also Adelaide (this happened on Duncan St. just south of Adelaide, you may recognize Grace O'Malleys as the building at far left corner). One day about 11am as we are working, we hear a loud crash. Tires squeling. Crash. Squeling. Yelling. Screaming. When we looked out the windows we saw this. By the time my co worker finally got his camera to shoot this, the two had already demoed the two cars on the right that are partially on the curb. As you can see they continue to fight and as they struggle he hits the 3rd car and speeds south on Duncan and hangs a right onto King St. For those not familiar with Toronto this is in the heart of the downtown bar and club district. Busy with lots of people. At the end of the video when he speeds away he is turning right onto King St. and immediately passed two of the busiest play theatres in the city. We are lucky that this is as bad as things got. It could have been very ugly.We gave this video to the police when the showed up and they told us they had caught the van around the corner. The also had the guy fighting with him. Essentially the one guy tried to take off in the van full of drugs leaving his buddy behind. The other people in the video are people walking by. The girl is the girl who owns the car on the far right that is up on the curb. You can hear her yell 'thats my car u bleep'. Poor girl. The other guy that seems to be fighting is a by-stander who apparently thought the one guy was stealing the other guys van and was trying to help.Enjoy! |
